Located in the Heart of Redondo Beach Since 1994

The Prelude of loeradesigns dates to 1984, when our founder joined architect Charles Belak Berger’s office as a drafting apprentice. Specializing in residential projects on R-2 lots in Redondo Beach, And custom homes in the south bay. He contributed to approximately 30 projects before becoming the office’s lead architectural designer.

In 1994, loeradesigns opened at 118 N. Catalina Avenue in Redondo Beach, where we remain today. Our designs span styles from Brutalist to Storybook, serving clients and specializing in Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Palos Verdes Estates Art Jury.

In 2023, our founder’s son, John Dylan Loera, joined the firm, introducing advanced building information modeling (BIM) and 3D visualization using Autodesk Revit. These tools build on our decades of experience and help clients see their ideas take shape.

From 2017 to 2024, collaborated on the renovation of Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes alongside architects Eric Wright, grandson of Frank Lloyd Wright; Dean Andrew; and historic preservation architect Peyton Hall. The work included renovations to the chapel, remodeling, and plans for additional structures on the property. During 2023 and 2024, we also participated in monitoring the land movement that ultimately compromised the chapel.

Today, we are helping clients rebuild homes affected by the 2025 Palisades Fire, including residences we originally designed in the 1990s.
